Sisolak adopts CDC changes allowing people to remove masks in certain cases

Gov. Steve Sisolak has issued a directive amending his mask mandates to allow people to go without in certain situations.
That includes outdoor gatherings unless you are in a crowd. People can also go without a mask indoors with fully vaccinated people and without staying six feet apart.
The directive says people can also gather maskless indoors with unvaccinated people of any age from one other household, such as relatives, unless one of those people has an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
The new rules align Nevada’s mask mandate with the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control. The CDC has concluded that the risk of virus transmission is very low in outdoor settings unless you are in a crowd.
The CDC also noted that activities that involve behaviors such as singing, shouting, exertion and heavy breathing should be avoided.
