Texas ranks high on CDC ranking of flu cases

Texas is one of just five states with a “high” level of flu activity.

Health officials say New York, Tennessee, Georgia and South Carolina are seeing a similarly contagious start to the flu season.

The latest flu map from the CDC has data only through October 15th, so the numbers could be worse by now.

Cook Children’s in Fort Worth is saying its Emergency room is running at full capacity so the hospital requests parents to refrain from bringing their kids in for a flu test. Go to your pediatrician for that is the best advice.
