SUNY campuses adopt updated CDC mask guidelines
SUNY says its campuses across the state are adopting the updated CDC guidance for vaccinated individuals.
That means students and staff this spring semester do not need to wear masks when doing outdoor activities, unless it’s a crowded event.
Masks are still required for all classroom settings and commencements.
SUNY is also conducting exit COVID-19 testing for the semester so students and staff can go home without risk of infecting family and friends.
To date, SUNY has conducted nearly 2.2 million tests with a positivity rate of 0.42%.
