Police are still filling in the “pieces of the puzzle” after missing Sydney boy Christopher Wilson was found safe and well this morning.
Superintendent Darrin Batchelor said the 11-year-old, who went missing after he got off his school bus yesterday afternoon, was found by a woman driving along Annangrove Rd at 9.15am today.
It was the same road Christopher was last seen on yesterday evening, but this time he was walking back towards home, Batchelor said.
“It looks like he went on a little bit of an adventure yesterday afternoon,” he said.
It appeared Christopher had spent the night in bushland, but police weren’t yet clear on the details.
Christopher is currently being checked up in Westmead Children’s Hospital, but Batchelor said he had suffered no visible injuries.
He could be suffering a “possible” case of mild hypothermia.
At this stage, nobody else is believed to be involved in Christopher’s disappearance.
“The family are extremely relieved,” Batchelor said.
