Maximus Inc. said Monday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has awarded it a contract valued at $100 million to help with the agency’s national contact center.
The contract runs for at least one year, with an option for up to four more, and will see Maximus helping the agency enhance its CDC-INFO program, which distributes health information to millions of Americans.
Maximus supported the program during the pandemic and helped implement the National Covid-19 Vaccination Assistance Hotline, the success of which has earned the agency and Maximus multiple awards over the past year, the company said.
“This CDC-INFO program will benefit from our experience serving millions of Americans through the CDC-VAX program, as we will focus on improving the user experience for those seeking information and effectively implement the technologies needed to make that happen,” said Lisa Slaughter, a senior vice president at Maximus.
