Lenawee County back in medium community COVID-19 level


Lenawee County has moved back into the medium COVID-19 community level, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Counties in the low level are in green, medium are in yellow, and high are in orange.

Lenawee County is back in the medium community COVID-19 level.

In the medium level, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends people at risk of serious illness from the virus wear masks while at indoor, public places such as stores and theaters.

Lenawee County had been in the low community COVID level since early June, but new cases have been slowly rising since late June.

Other counties around Lenawee are in the medium or high levels, according to the CDC. Monroe and Washtenaw counties in Michigan and Williams County in Ohio are in the high level. Hillsdale and Jackson counties in Michigan and Fulton and Lucas counties in Ohio are are in the medium level.

In the high level, the CDC recommends everyone wear masks while at indoor, public places regardless of COVID vaccination status.
