Los Angeles County public health officials reported 2,535 more cases of the coronavirus since Monday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,363,706 as of Tuesday, Aug. 16.
Officials reported 13 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Monday for a total of 32,961 deaths since tracking began.
There were 76 fewer hospitalizations reported since Saturday, bringing the total of persons hospitalized with coronavirus to 1,022.
According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
