Los Angeles County public health officials reported 8,954 new cases of the coronavirus since Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,207,071 as of Friday, July 15.
Officials reported 16 more deaths linked to the coronavirus Friday for a total of 32,492 deaths since tracking began.
There were 21 more hospitalizations reported, bringing the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 to 1,223.
According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 76% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
