Los Angeles County public health officials reported 7,924 more cases of the coronavirus since Saturday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,383,792 as of Monday, Aug. 22.
Officials reported 25 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Saturday for a total of 33,027 deaths since tracking began.
Hospitalization numbers are unavailable due to a delay in reporting from the California Department of Public Health.
According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
