Los Angeles County public health officials reported 7,845 more cases of the coronavirus over the weekend, bringing the total number of cases to 3,585,468 as of Monday, Dec. 12.
Officials reported 39 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Friday for a total of 34,334 deaths since tracking began.
Hospital numbers are currently unavailable due to the delay in weekend reporting from the state.
According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated with 21,078,929 doses administered.
