Los Angeles County public health officials reported 3,694 more cases of the coronavirus since Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,396,657 as of Friday, Aug. 26.
Officials reported 20 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Thursday for a total of 33,096 deaths since tracking began.
Update on hospitalizations is pending for information from the California Department of Public Health.
According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
