Los Angeles County public health officials reported 3,227 new cases of the coronavirus since Monday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,309,285 as of Tuesday, Aug. 2.
Officials reported 17 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Minday for a total of 32,763 deaths since tracking began.
There were three hospitalizations reported since Friday, bringing the total number of people hospitalized with coronavirus to 1,242.
According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 76% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
