Los Angeles County public health officials reported 2,566 more cases of the coronavirus since Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,410,937 as of Thursday, Sept. 1.
Officials reported 17 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Wednesday for a total of 33,171 deaths since tracking began.
There were 32 fewer hospitalizations since Wednesday, bringing the total number of people hospitalized with coronavirus to 764.
According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated with 19,695,009 doses administered.
