Los Angeles County public health officials reported 2,228 more cases of the coronavirus since Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,425,863 as of Friday, Sept 9.
Officials reported 15 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Thursday for a total of 33,348 deaths since tracking began.
There were 15 fewer hospitalizations reported since Thursday, brining the total number of patients with coronavirus to 765.
According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated with 19,725,275 doses administered.
