Halloween is less than three weeks away.
If you plan on taking the kids out trick-or-treating this year here are some tips from the CDC and the Traverse City police department.
They say to avoid direct contact with trick-or-treaters by passing out treats outdoors.
They say, if possible, individually bag up the treats.
And of course wear a mask.
You can also find creative ways to incorporate a mask into your costume.
But remember: don’t wear a costume mask over a cloth mask. It can make breathing difficult.
The CDC always recommends washing your hands and keeping your distance.
