Giving blood to mark World Health Day

IVORYCARES, the charitable arm of Ivory Properties Group Bhd, organised a blood donation campaign to replenish Hospital Penang’s blood bank.

In a statement, Ivorycares said the drive was aimed at helping save lives.

With the help of the Macalister Road Village Community Management Council (MPKK), Jalan Irving MPKK and Komtar assemblyman service centre, the blood donation drive was held at Prangin Mall, the venue sponsor, in George Town.

“The blood donation drive was held in conjunction with World Health Day on April 7,” said the statement.

“Strict standard operating procedure was followed.

“The first 50 blood donors received goodie bags from Ivorycares containing items like face masks and hand sanitiser.

“They also received a RM10 voucher each from Prangin Mall as a token of appreciation.”

Also present at the blood donation campaign was Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng.
