If it feels like almost everyone you know either has COVID-19, is awaiting on COVID test results or recovering from COVID, it’s not your imagination.
January 2022 was, easily, Michigan’s worst month to date in regards to confirmed COVID-19 cases reported to the state. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Resources recorded almost 370,000 confirmed cases last month, and the final tally isn’t in yet. That’s 75% more cases than the previous record set in December 2021, with 209,451 cases.
