LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska’s Department of Health and Human Services is reportedly working to restore COVID-19 case data to the CDC’s website.

The federal agency was impacted by the removal of the statewide dashboard. It was replaced with weekly reports at the end of June, when Gov. Pete Ricketts’ emergency order expired.

Some data for Nebraska looks dramatically different compared to other states as a result. County-level data shows Nebraska has zero COVID-19 cases. According to 3 News Now, the department has been in contact with the CDC since last month.

Nebraska’s DHHS reported more than 2,600 new positive cases over the last week and an additional 17 deaths.
