Do we know what motel the QLD case was placed in on arrival to Perth? There are no locations listed on the WA sites

We don’t know the hotel, but WA Health Minister Roger Cook said he didn’t believe that case presented any risk to WA. “The procedure in those instances is that they are accommodated in a very close hotel and kept under guard by WAPOL and returned on the next available flight to Brisbane,” he said.
Any word on what the next SA presser is about? A bit worried!

Our SA newsroom says the update will be only by SA Health at their headquarters. Earlier today, we heard about two new cases in the state. But SA Premier Steven Marshall said that was to be expected. He said there’s no risk to the community because both people were in quarantine throughout their infectious period.
Guys, can you confirm if there is any restriction on how far people in the restricted LGAs can go for medical care? If someone has a medical appointment, is that affected by the 5km radius?

Do we know if the 5km limit in the eight LGAs includes leaving home for work (e.g. authorised work)?

Here’s what Ms Berekilian said in the press conference:
“If you live in a local government area of concern, from midnight tomorrow, you can only move within a 5km radius of your home. So it doesn’t matter what the reason is. Unless there are exceptional circumstances, you have to make sure you do not move within a 5km radius of your home. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for shopping. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for other exercising that you’re allowed to leave the house from. You can’t move beyond a 5km radius and that includes singles bubbles. If you want to have a singles bubble in a local government area of concern, you cannot have anybody move or you can’t move within 5km of where you live.”
Those local government areas are:
- Georges River
- Parramatta
- Blacktown
- Cumberland
- Canterbury-Bankstown
- Fairfield
- Liverpool
- Campbelltown
I’m seeing a lot of questions about this rule and it does sound like there needs to be more clarification on it from the NSW government about medical appointments, so we’re going to look into this further.
