MIAMI – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention removed its COVID-19 risk advisory against cruise ship travel on Tuesday after issuing it about two years ago.

The CDC continued to warn the virus spreads easily in close quarters on board ships and passengers and crew are at risk for infection — even if they are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines.

The CDC also continues to update a list of travel health notices grouping specific countries to four levels of risk.

This is a developing story.
