Burkina Faso 15 November 2022: At the Youba IDP camp, between Ouahigouya and Youba, Yatenga province, Nord region, a health centre and school building were ransacked and supplies taken during an overnight attack by suspected JNIM militants. Sources: ACLED1 and OCHA

Democratic Republic of the Congo 09 November 2022: In Kabasha area, North Kivu province, ADF militants looted two pharmacies and ransacked a health centre, before burning it down as part of a wider attack on the area during which two people were killed and 50 others kidnapped. Source: Wiki Rumours

Mali 16 November 2022: Between Bandiagara and Bankass, Mopti region, a Malian INGO aid worker, a health worker, and a driver were kidnapped by suspected JNIM militants. The driver was later released. Source: ACLED1

Nigeria 03 November 2022: In Fakai village, Shinkafi LGA, Zamfara state, a vaccinator was killed by suspected bandits led by Bello Turji. The incident followed the bandit group’s decision to prohibit the presence of the Nigerian Government in the area. Source: Eons Intelligence

10 November 2022: In Bisichi, Jos South LGA, Plateau state, a doctor and a pastor were kidnapped by gunmen while travelling from Mangu to Jos. The gunmen left the doctor’s wife along with two other children in the car. Source: National News Lead

17 November 2022: In Damboa LGA, Borno state, a female Médecins du Monde aid worker was fatally stabbed and a co-pilot shot and wounded when a Nigerian soldier under the influence of alcohol opened fire at a UN helicopter. 18 November 2022: In Ikomita area, Calabar, Cross River State, two doctors and four other civilians were kidnapped on the Ekomita-Uyanga axis of the Calabar Ikom highway by gunmen who demanded a ransom of N100m. In response to their kidnapping, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Cross River State chapter, embarked on an indefinite strike. 22 November 2022: In Zaki Biam town, Ukum LGA, Benue State, the medical director of the Hope and Maternity Clinic was kidnapped from his house by gunmen. Source: Newspot Nigeria

Sudan 09 November 2022: In Juguma locality, Central Darfur state, humanitarian organisations were forced to evacuate their staff from Juguma locality and to suspend operations in villages surrounding Bindisi town amidst insecurity caused by clashes between members of the Messiria tribe and the Awlad Rashid clan of the Rizeigat tribe. The event limited the delivery of health, nutrition, water, sanitation, and hygiene services to about 30,000 people, including 8,000 IDPs. Source: Radio Dabanga
