Brown County reported 305 additional COVID-19 cases this week

New coronavirus cases increased 6.9% in Wisconsin in the week ending Sunday as the state added 7,114 cases. The previous week had 6,656 new cases of the virus that causes COVID-19.

Wisconsin ranked eighth among the states where coronavirus was spreading the fastest on a per-person basis, a USA TODAY Network analysis of Johns Hopkins University data shows. In the latest week coronavirus cases in the United States decreased 7.7% from the week before, with 298,674 cases reported. With 1.75% of the country’s population, Wisconsin had 2.38% of the country’s cases in the last week. Across the country, 13 states had more cases in the latest week than they did in the week before.

Brown County reported 305 cases and four deaths in the latest week. A week earlier, it had reported 364 cases and one death. Throughout the pandemic it has reported 97,338 cases and 592 deaths.
