Wentworth-Douglass expands Primary Care into the Rochester Area

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital celebrated the opening of Primary Care of Rochester during a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce on Sept. 21. Jeff Hughes, President and CEO of Wentworth Douglass Hospital, cut the ceremonial ribbon while surrounded by Wentworth-Douglass staff, city officials, state lawmakers, and representatives from the Chamber.

ROCHESTER — Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce celebrated the addition of Primary Care of Rochester to the community on Sept. 21 during a ribbon-cutting ceremony and Business After Hours event outside the new practice at The Ridge Marketplace.

Primary Care of Rochester, a Mass General Brigham Healthcare Center, is an appointment-based primary care practice committed to providing primary care and preventative health care to the entire family from newborn to seniors. The practice opened to the public on Monday, Sept. 26.

“Rochester has been, and continues to be, a part of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s primary service area. As a not-for-profit health care system with a mission focused on meeting the health care needs of the community, we saw a need for these healthcare services in the Rochester area and we’re proud to be here to help fill that need,” said Wentworth-Douglass Hospital President & CEO Jeff Hughes. “Our aim is to provide patient-centered care delivered with pride, that patients will recommend. We are pleased to be able to strengthen our ties to the Rochester community.”
