Los Angeles County public health officials reported 4,274 more cases of the coronavirus since Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,375,907 as of Friday, Aug. 19.
Officials reported 13 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Thursday for a total of 33,003 deaths since tracking began.
There were 56 fewer hospitalizations reported since Thursday, bringing the total of persons hospitalized with coronavirus to 940.
According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
