Los Angeles County public health officials reported 6,416 new cases of the coronavirus since Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,160,032 as of Friday, July 8.
Officials reported 18 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Thursday for a total of 32,413 deaths since tracking began.
There were 32 more hospitalizations reported Friday, bringing the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 to 1,021.
According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 76% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
