The CDC has lowered its coronavirus warnings for cruise ships.
The travel health notice has been lowered to level two, which is considered “moderate” risk for COVID-19.
The CDC continues to urge passengers to get the recommended COVID-19 vaccines, saying vaccination is still the best way to protect against severe disease.
The agency says cruise ship travel should be avoided by anyone who is not up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines and are at increased risk for severe illness from the disease.
Wearing a mask during the cruise when outside the cabin or in crowded outdoor settings is still recommended.
