CDC issues updated opioid prescribing guideline for comment  


The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accepting comments through April 11 on a draft updated clinical practice guideline for prescribing opioids for chronic pain. The guideline recommendations are voluntary and intended to improve communication between providers and patients and empower them to make informed, patient-centered decisions related to safe and effective pain care, CDC said.
