SPECIAL “SHOWTIME” SEQUENCE: Approximately 15 minutes before kickoff, Pro Football Hall of Famer and Vikings Ring of Honor defensive tackle John Randle is scheduled to join the award-winning “Showtime” Sequence, which was just featured on FOX 9.
COLOR GUARD: A Joint Services Honor Guard will present the colors, and the 133rd Airlift Wing is scheduled to conduct a flyover in a C-130.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: American singer, songwriter and musician Jordan Smith, who won Season 9 of The Voice, will perform the National Anthem. The native of Harlan, Kentucky, became the first artist to simultaneously hold three top 10 spots on Billboard’s Christian Songs Chart (Nos. 1, 2 and 8).
HALFTIME: Performance by Ludacris, who is scheduled to tour with Janet Jackson in 2023 (at Xcel Energy Center on May 30, 2023)
U.S. BANK HOMETOWN HERO: World War II veteran Robert Holmstrom, a recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal, will be recognized. Holmstrom was among a group of veterans who traveled to Normandy in 2019 as part of the Hy-Vee Veterans Voyage.
