Biggest Cause Of Deaths In 2022

Last year saw more than 44 million abortions carried out across the world.

For the fourth consecutive year they were by far the biggest cause of deaths on the planet.

They nearly quadrupled the number of deaths from infectious diseases which was put at 13 million.

That’s according to the Worldometer database which tracks statistics about health, population and other metrics in real-time using the internet archiving tool The Wayback Machine.

Worldometer cites a fact sheet from the World Health Organization (WHO) as the source for its abortion statistics.

However, The Christian Post reports that WHO claims “around 73 million induced abortions take place worldwide each year.”

The United Nations agency characterises abortion as an ‘essential health service.’

Other causes of death included cancer (8 million), smoking-related illnesses (5 million), alcohol-related illnesses (2.5 million), AIDS (2 million), covid pandemic (1.2 million), road accidents (1 million), suicides (1 million), water-related diseases (800,000), seasonal flu (500,000), malaria (400,000) and women during childbirth (300,000).
