Oklahoma reports more than 5,800 new COVID-19 cases, 29 additional deaths

HEALTH OFFICIALS SAY FLU SEASON CAME EARLY THIS YEAR BEFORE THANKSGIVING, OKLAHOMA HAD A 15% TEST POSITIVITY RATE FOR INFLUENZA THIS WEEK. IT’S NEARLY DOUBLED. AT 28%. JUST LOOKING AT THE STATE’S DATA, YOU KNOW, THERE ARE BEEN MORE THAN 1400 PEOPLE IN OKLAHOMA HOSPITALIZED ALREADY THIS YEAR WITH THE FLU. 22 DEATHS. LOOKING AT THE CDC INFLUENZA MAP. OKLAHOMA IN THE VERY HIGH LEVEL. ALL BORDERING STATES ARE AT THE SAME OR HIGHER. CDC THAT WE ARE AT A TEN YEAR HIGH IN THE NUMBER OF FLU HOSPITALIZATIONS THIS YEAR AND THAT THE NUMBER OF POSITIVE TESTS IN ONE WEEK AT THE END OF NOVEMBER WAS THE HIGHEST NUMBER THEY HAD SEEN IN THE RECORDING.
