These mushrooms are linked to a listeria outbreak, according to the CDC


STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — At least two people are infected due to an outbreak of listeria linked to enoki mushrooms, according to an alert from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The CDC, public health and regulatory officials in several states and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are investigating an outbreak of sick people infected with Listeria in two states — Michigan and Nevada. The sick people’s samples were collected from Oct. 5-8. According to the CDC, both people have been hospitalized.
