Major Health Partners released the following update Wednesday afternoon.
Indiana’s COVID positivity rate is at 7.3 percent and Shelby County’s positivity rate is 8.1 percent. Shelby County’s positivity rate continues to slowly trend downward and has changed to “yellow” status.
The CDC has approved the pediatric (age 5-11) dose of the Pfizer COVID Vaccine. A pediatric COVID Vaccination Clinic will be scheduled and communicated to the community.
Walk-in volumes at both MHP Priority Care and MHP Pediatrics locations have steadied and are in line with normal volumes for this time of year.
The Emergency Department is seeing normal volumes for this time of the year.
Thirty-three of 40 inpatient beds are occupied on the third floor inpatient unit.
MHP had five critical care patients on the third floor and four of those patients are due to COVID. Of the four COVID-related critical care patients, all are unvaccinated.
MHP had two patients on ventilators, plus six additional patients on Vapotherm or BiPap. Both of the ventilated patients are due to COVID and neither of those patients are vaccinated.
Eight inpatients are COVID positive and none of them are vaccinated.
MHP has three staff members out with COVID or suspected COVID.
