Coronavirus warning: WHO warns ‘countries on a dangerous track’ as COVID-19 pandemic grows | Politics | News
Dr Margaret Harris told Sky News that the World Health Organisation is very concerned about the spread of coronavirus. The WHO spokesperson added the next few months will be very tough for countries in the northern hemisphere.
“Some countries are indeed on a dangerous track.”
Last week Dr Harrris issued a passionate rallying call to countries that are facing big uptakes in coronavirus cases.
The WHO spokesperson said the COVID-19 pandemic was not a political issue and labelled it “humanity versus the virus”.
She also explained the most effective way for nations to combat the spread of coronavirus.
“I would just say to the people listen to each other, work and together.
“This really is humanity versus the virus, not a political issue.
“This is all about getting the virus under control.”
